Lazio's faint hopes of a winning the Serie A title have been dealt a shocking blow with a 5-1 defeat at Palermo.
The hosts took the lead after 10 minutes thanks to Edgar Barreto's strike.
Their lead was doubled soon after courtesy of Massimo Donati's finish before Matias Silvestre's header gave Palermo a 3-0 advantage at the break.
It was 4-0 two minutes after the break when Igor Budan found the net, while Fabrizio Miccoli's goal sealed the rout.
Lazio's night got worse when Andre Dias was dismissed after he picked up his second yellow card.
However, the visitors scored a consolation goal in the dying minutes when Libor Kozak was on hand to convert.
