Fiorentina defender Facundo Roncaglia has revealed his ambition to play for the Italy national team.
The 25-year-old is from Argentina but as his ancestors emigrated from Naples, he is eligible to represent the Azzurri at international level.
"I am happy with my individual performance [against Parma], but being the first few games of the season any result can be useful to continue our team progress," he told Sky Sport Italia.
"It will be a difficult match against Juventus on Tuesday, but we hope to gain a positive result.
"I am happy that [Italy coach Cesare] Prandelli is following my progress. This gives me further motivation to work hard and hope to one day have a chance to play for Italy."
Roncaglia joined Fiorentina from Boca Juniors in the summer and scored his first goal for the Viola in their 1-1 away draw with Parma in Serie A on Saturday.
