In search of consecutive league wins away from home for the first time this term, Cambuur visit the Mac3Park Stadion for their meeting against PEC Zwolle on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the home side are looking to bounce back from a defeat last time out and make it three straight wins on home turf across all competitions.
Match preview
Despite all their resolve on the day, Zwolle were left empty-handed in their clash versus AZ Alkmaar on Saturday which ended in a 3-2 defeat.
Art Langeler's men raced to a surprise two-goal lead courtesy of a Mees de Wit brace before a goal from Dani De Wit and two from Vangelis Pavlidis turned the game on its head.
The Blauwvingers remain rooted to the bottom of the standings, six points adrift of safety with a third of the season gone already.
Awaiting them next is the challenge of an opposing side against whom they have a mixed record of late, with both teams picking up five wins apiece in the last 11 meetings between the teams.
However, Saturday's hosts came out on top in the most recent encounter back in July and will be looking to carry the day once again this weekend.
Cambuur saw off the threat of RKC Waalwijk in a narrow 1-0 victory at the Mandemakers Stadion on Sunday.
Issa Kallon's opener three minutes past the hour mark was enough to hand Henk de Jong's men a hard-fought three points.
The Yellow-Blues have moved up to 11th place on the log as a result and are currently separated from the top half only on goal difference.
Having shipped the second-most goals away from home in the entire division, Saturday's visitors will need to tighten up at the back to boost their chances of emerging victorious in this one.

Team News
Zwolle's Pelle Clement is currently out of action through an ankle problem and will not feature in this weekend's contest.
Sai Van Wermeskerken has not made an appearance since picking up a knee injury in February, and the Japanese is also unavailable for the home side.
All of Issa Kallon's three league goals this term have come away from home, and he will be looking to deliver the goods once again.
Micheal Breij was fit enough to be named on the bench last time out and the 24-year-could make his return to action in this one.
PEC Zwolle possible starting lineup:
Lamprou; Pabai, Van Polen, Kersten, Nakayama; Saymak, Strieder, Huiberts; Kastaneer, Tedic, Redan
Cambuur possible starting lineup:
Stevens; Schmidt, Mac-Intosch, Schouten, Bangura; Hoedemakers, Jacobs, Sambissa, Maulun, Kallon; Boere
We say: PEC Zwolle 1-1 Cambuur
PEC Zwolle have made a far from ideal start to the new campaign and results have to improve going forward if they are to preserve their top-flight status. Cambuur will fancy themselves to get the job done come the full-time whistle, but we are backing a share of the spoils with the sides having to settle for a point apiece in the end.
