Sports Mole previews Sunday's Eredivisie clash between PEC Zwolle and Feyenoord, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.
Sports Mole

PEC Zwolle will be looking to make it back to back league wins for the first time this campaign when they welcome Feyenoord to the Mac3Park Stadion on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Feyenoord come into this one having failed to win any of their last two Eredivisie matches and will be keen to return to winning ways.

Match preview

Feyenoord have one foot in the quarter-finals of the Conference League following a 5-2 first-leg victory over Partizan Belgrade on Thursday.

Jens Toornstra stole the show in the Serbian capital as he grabbed a brace and was joined on the scoresheet by Cyriel Dessers, Lutsharel Geertruida and Luis Sinisterra.

Prior to that, De Stadionclub were held to a 1-1 draw versus Groningen on Saturday and have now fallen further and further behind the duo of Ajax and PSV Eindhoven in the race for the title.

The Rotterdam-based club will be gunning for a sixth consecutive triumph against Sunday's opponents, which would see them complete a league double for the third season running.

Averaging three goals per game over the course of their last five away matches in all competitions, Feyenoord will surely fancy themselves to enjoy another productive outing on the road this weekend before returning home to conclude their European tie four days later.

PEC Zwolle narrowly came out on top 1-0 in a crucial relegation six-pointer versus Fortuna Sittard on Sunday at the Fortuna Sittard Stadion.

Oussama Darfalou opened the scoring with an emphatic finish in the 77th minute to secure a priceless three points for Dick Schreuder's men.

The Blauwvingers have moved off the bottom of the Eredivisie table as a result and are now just two points adrift of safety with nine matches left to play.

Unbeaten in four of their last five home matches, Sunday's hosts will be looking to pick up another positive result on their own patch as they seek to exit the drop zone.

Team News

Bryan Linssen and Alireza Jahanbakhsh had to make do with cameo appearances in midweek, but the duo are in line to be recalled to the starting XI for this one.

Cyriel Dessers and Reiss Nelson are most likely to make way, with Luis Sinisterra the only member of Thursday's front three expected to get the nod right from the off once again.

Twenty-five-year-old Philippe Sandler remains sidelined with a thigh problem and will not play any part for this weekend's visitors.

Zwolle's Samir Lagsir and Sam Kersten are both down with knee injuries, while Rav van den Berg is yet to recover from a muscle problem.

Dutch midfielder Dean Huiberts has missed his side's last three games due to an ankle injury and is a major doubt for Sunday's clash.

PEC Zwolle possible starting lineup:
Lamprou; Van der Werff, Nakayama, Van Polen; De Wit, Clement, Van den Belt, Saymak, Anderson; Redan, Darfalou

Feyenoord possible starting lineup:
Bijlow; Malacia, Senesi, Trauner, Pedersen; Aursnes, Kokcu, Til; Jahanbakhsh, Linssen, Sinisterra

We say: PEC Zwolle 1-3 Feyenoord

Zwolle have turned a corner in recent weeks but a clash against one of the league's more illustrious sides certainly poses a very tough challenge. We fancy Feyenoord to come away with all three points at the end of the 90 minutes.
