Sivasspor will look to end a five-game winless run when they face Pendikspor in Saturday's Turkish Super Lig contest.

Pendikspor, meanwhile, are still searching for their first top-flight victory after failing to win any of their opening seven games.

After winning promotion via the playoffs last season, Pendikspor have found it tough going in their first-ever season in the Turkish Super Lig.

Having drawn four and lost three of their seven league matches, the newly-promoted side are currently languishing in the relegation zone with two points separating them from safety.

Pendikspor conceded two goals inside the opening half-hour of their most recent encounter with Trabzonspor, and while they pulled a goal back through Endri Cekici, they were unable to salvage a point.

After suffering a second straight away defeat, Osman Ozkoylu's side may be looking forward to returning to the Pendik Stadium, where they have drawn their last two matches.

Having conceded 14 goals this season, Pendikspor currently share the worst defensive record with Kasimpasa, highlighting a key area that needs improving if they are to start picking up victories.

Meanwhile, Sivasspor will be underwhelmed with their start to the new season, having won just one of their opening seven matches (D4, L2).

After beating Gaziantep 3-1 on matchday two, Sivasspor went on to play out a 1-1 draw with Antalyaspor, before suffering consecutive defeats.

While wins have proved to be elusive in recent weeks, Servet Cetin's side have at least managed to take a point from both of their last two outings against Caykur Rizespor and Hatayspor.

They also managed to record their first clean sheet of the season in last weekend's goalless affair with Hatayspor, although they would have been disappointed to draw a blank in a home league match for the first time since October 2022.

After scoring just one of their seven goals this season in the second half, Cetin will be challenging his side to produce a strong finish in Saturday's encounter.

Pendikspor will go into Saturday's contest without Koka and Emeka Eze, who are ruled out with knee and ankle injuries respectively.

After Welinton and Oscar Romero missed the defeat to Trabzonspor, Pendikspor will hope to have the pair available for Saturday's contest.

Cekici, who arrived on a free transfer in the summer, is set to start a third consecutive game after scoring his first goal for the club last weekend.

As for the visitors, Samba Camara is ruled out with an ankle injury, while Luxembourg international Gerson Rodrigues is suspended.

After featuring as a substitute against Hatayspor, Clinton N'Jie could be brought into the lineup for Saturday's contest.

Having started the last four matches, summer addition Rey Manaj is expected to lead the line against Pendikspor.
