Perth Glory have moved off the bottom of the A-League table after a Nebojsa Marinkovic double earned his side a 2-1 win against Central Coast Mariners.
Perth started well in front of their own supporters, and almost took an early lead when Chris Harold fired marginally over the crossbar, before Marinkovic saw a free kick palmed away by goalkeeper Paul Izzo.
However, just before the half-hour mark, the Mariners went in front through Roy O'Donovan, with the former Sunderland attacker firing the ball inside the near post after being played through on goal.
Alex Grant was proving to be a handful for Perth in the Mariners penalty area without adding a final touch, but after the restart, two goals in the space of three minutes turned the contest on its head.
Marinkovic's first strike came from a set piece, which was curled around the wall and into the bottom corner, before the Serbian midfielder latched on to a loose ball before calmly slotting it past Izzo.
It was a remarkable turnaround from a team who had won just once in eight games, but they could have been out of sight had Richard Garcia made more of his chances shortly after the second goal.
However, Marinkovic's double proved enough to secure victory for his side, and leave Central Coast Mariners two points adrift at the bottom of the table.
