Peterborough United have got life back in League One off to a positive start this afternoon, thanks to a debut strike from Britt Assombalonga against Swindon Town.
The 20-year-old wasted little time in making an impact at London Road, finding the target nine minutes into his Posh career.
Assombalonga used his strength to find space just inside the penalty area, before guiding a volley into the corner with his right foot.
Tyrone Barnett and Lee Tomlin forced saves from Wes Foderingham soon after, but the Swindon goalkeeper was equal to both efforts.
At the other end Massimo Luongo and Ryan Mason were unable to guide efforts from distance on target, with Darren Ferguson's side holding firm until the interval.
