Leyton Orient have announced that they have signed Jack Payne on a season-long loan from Peterborough United.
The League Two side previously took the 23-year-old midfielder on trial, including him in their pre-season tour to Spain in July.
Head coach Ian Hendon told the club's website: "It has been a long drawn-out process but we are pleased to get a deal done which sees Jack come in on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
"I cannot thank the president enough as he has backed me yet again with this deal and we are looking forward to working with Jack.
"Jack needs a bit of work to get up to speed with the rest of the squad having not had much game time yet this season, but he will be a good addition to the squad."
Payne has been registered in time to make his debut in a League Trophy match against Luton Town this evening.
