Real Salt Lake came from behind to beat Portland Timbers 3-2 at Jeld-Wen field tonight.
Despite creating a number of chances in the first half, Salt Lake struggled to find the back of the net. However, with 40 minutes gone, Alvaro Saborio converted from the spot to send the visitors in ahead at the break after Portland were adjudged to have handled the ball in the area.
Darlington Nagbe levelled the score within minutes of the restart, beating Salt Lake keeper Nick Romando from range. The Liberian later combined with Eric Alexander, just after the hour, to fire the hosts ahead from inside the area.
However, Salt Lake substitute Jonny Steele struck back in the last minute of normal time to tie the score, before Kyle Beckerman's strike in stoppage time sealed the comeback in Portland.
