Diego De Girolamo cancelled out Paul Gallagher's opener as Preston North End and Sheffield United settled for a replay in a 1-1 draw in their fourth-round FA Cup clash this afternoon.
Preston made a lively start to the game and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake had a snap shot which deflected behind for a corner.
A mistake in the Sheffield United backline then set Gallagher free but he was adjudged to be offside.
The Scot did not dwell on the missed chance, however, and scored with a free kick that nestled into the bottom corner of the net from 30 yards out.
The Blades came out with renewed determination after the break, and Louis Reed came close with an effort after latching onto a loose ball.
Reid surged forward again minutes later, twisting and turning before his shot was deflected behind.
De Girolamo eventually got an equaliser for the away side when he slammed the ball home following a quick free kick down the left.
