Preston North End boss Simon Grayson has admitted that his players are lacking in confidence following their 1-1 draw with Yeovil Town.
The Lilywhites stretched their winless run to four games in all competitions last night as they were held at home in League One.
Preston remain in fourth position in the table, but they are now seven points adrift of the automatic promotion places.
"We were getting there, but are not playing with that belief and confidence we had a few weeks ago," Grayson is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"We've got to try and gather that back very quickly but there's still 20 games to go. It's disappointing for everybody connected with the club but we'll keep going, regather the troops, rebuild the confidence and get back to winning ways as soon as possible."
Preston are back in action on Saturday when they host Sheffield United in the FA Cup fourth round.
