Simon Grayson has described Preston North End's performance during their 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest as "resilient".
Eoin Doyle scored in the third minute before Preston stopped 16 shots from Forest to claim the victory.
"It was a real resilient performance. We've played a lot better and not won matches," Grayson told reporters.
"Sometimes you have to really dig deep and do whatever it takes to win. We gave the ball away far too much but got the three points."
Preston are now unbeaten in their last five matches and lie in 16th in the Championship table.
