Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has stated that the club should look to emulate Champions League opponents Barcelona over the coming years.
PSG travel to the Camp Nou for the second leg of their quarter-final tie this evening, having lost the first 3-1 in Paris last week.
European success has eluded the French champions following the substantial investment that they received in 2011, and Blanc says that the club ought to model themselves on Barca.
"Barca are a big club, everyone knows that. The club are fortunate enough to have players who will be remembered for years after their retirement," FourFourTwo quotes the former France boss as saying.
"There's a difference between PSG and Barca - PSG are building a great club and Barcelona are already a great club. We know we are not here on a school trip, we know Barcelona will also want to win so we have to be strong."
PSG were knocked out at the same stage of the Champions League last season by Chelsea.
