Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc has insisted that he will not hold Marco Verratti's red card in the Champions League clash with Olympiacos against him.
The Italian was dismissed in the 46th minute after picking up a second bookable offence, but his coach vowed not to blame him for the mistakes.
"The first booking, he deserved, but it wasn't a dangerous play. It's stupid but it stops the attack. Sometimes it helps the team," RMC quotes Blanc as saying.
"Verratti made two mistakes in this game. I'm not trying to defend him but let's say it wasn't indefensible. I don't want to blame him, even though it put us in trouble."
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani were on target for PSG as they saw off their Greek opponents 2-1.
