Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has said that Carlo Ancelotti's potential departure will not hinder the club's progress.
The Italian, who has been in charge at the Parc des Princes since December 2011, is believed to be of interest to Real Madrid, with current boss Jose Mourinho expected to leave the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season.
"The project is not going to stop if Carlo goes," Al-Khelaifi told Le Parisien. "The project is bigger than one person, be that the coach or a president.
"It is the beginning of a great story here and one person is not going to change that. The club is more important than us, others may arrive and continue the project.
"The project will not stop if one person leaves."
Ancelotti has led Les Parisiens to the Ligue 1 title this season.
