Paris Saint-Germain defender Dani Alves has been ruled out of this summer's World Cup finals through injury.
The Brazil international picked up a knee injury during this week's 2-0 win over Les Herbiers in the Coupe de France final.
Initial reports suggested that Alves would be fit to join the Brazil squad in Russia but, according to Goal.com, national team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar has now ruled him out of the tournament.
Alves has been a key figure for Brazil of late and was expected to start in their defence in Russia.
The Samba Boys will also be without Filipe Luis for the finals, after he broke his leg playing for Atletico Madrid in March.
