PSV Eindhoven continue to march towards the Eredivisie title after seeing off Groningen 2-1 in this afternoon's league clash at the Philips Stadion.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 11th minute when Georginio Wijnaldum collected Luuk de Jong's pass before rifling into the Groningen net.
Wijnaldum was brought down in the area just before the half-hour mark, prompting the referee to give PSV a penalty, but De Jong blasted his spot kick over.
The mid-table visitors were then level two minutes before the break as Eric Botteghin headed past goalkeeper Jeron Zoet and into the net.
However, PSV edged themselves back in front midway through the second half courtesy of Nicolas Isimat-Mirin's header from a De Jong corner.
Philip Cocu's charges were able to see out the game to maintain a healthy 11-point lead at the top of the Eredivisie table.
