Qarabag FK are 45 minutes away from sealing a place in the last 32 of the Europa League after reaching the half-time interval of their clash against Inter Milan goalless.
A victory will cement their place in the knockout rounds, but as it stands, a draw is enough to secure second spot in the group as Dnipro and Saint-Etienne are also goalless after the first half.
The home side had an early effort on goal when Rashan Sadygov had a shot blocked, but at the other end Federico Bonazzoli almost opened the scoring for Inter, but his shot too was booted away.
Namik Alaskarov came closest to breaking the deadlock within the first 15 minutes, but the Qarabag forward missed the target.
From then on, neither side made much of an impact, with Alaskarov's shot being the only opportunity after half an hour's play.
Qarabag goalkeeper Ibrahim Sehic was forced into action towards the end of the half by saving Bonazzoli's shot as both teams struggled to find the breakthrough.
