Scotland international Jamie Mackie has said that it would be "amazing" to be a part of Team GB at London 2012.
The Scottish FA, who are against their internationals getting involved with Team GB, believe it could pose a threat to the future of their independent FIFA membership.
While no other Scotland internationals have said so, Mackie has admitted that he would love to take part at the Olympics and believes that others must feel the same.
"Obviously to be a part of it would be amazing," he told The Sun. "I can't talk for any other player apart from myself, it's down to the individual, but I'm sure players would be happy to play in that team.
"The way I see it is I would be representing Scotland but in the GB team.
"If I'm not picked I'll be there as a spectator."
Mackie, 26, made his Scotland debut last year against Czech Republic.
