Queens Park Rangers captain Joey Barton has described his side's 2-1 defeat to Everton as a "real kick in the teeth".
The R's were edged out at Loftus Road on Sunday to increase their relegation worries in the Premier League.
After being on the wrong end of the result, Barton believes that QPR should have come away with the spoils thanks to a dominant display.
"If we'd have drawn the game we would have come off the pitch disappointed, so to lose it is a real kick in the teeth," the midfielder told the club's official website.
"I think anybody who saw the game would understand that we were the better side, there's no question about it, but we haven't got any points to show for it."
QPR remain in 19th place in the Premier League table, four points adrift of safety.
