Richard Dunne has claimed that Queens Park Rangers cannot afford to lose the fighting spirit which helped them earn just their second victory of the season on Monday night.
A 2-0 victory over Aston Villa at Loftus Road moved Harry Redknapp's side off the bottom of the Premier League table, and Dunne is hoping to push on with the same attitude as they look to avoid a quick return to the Championship.
"We don't want anyone to doubt our effort," the Irish defender told reporters. "We want to stay in this league and we want to fight for QPR, and fight for the manager.
"But doing it once isn't enough though. We want to continually do it. We want to show how much the club and league mean to us."
QPR make the trip to Stamford Bridge to meet Chelsea on Saturday.
