Queens Park Rangers defender Max Ehmer is likely to miss the rest of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery, the club have announced.
The 22-year-old picked up the injury when he fell awkwardly for QPR's reserves a week ago.
The club's head of medical services, Dr Peter Florida-James, told their website: "Max damaged one of the ligaments in his shoulder and had to undergo surgery in order to have that repaired.
"In terms of recovery time, it is likely to be between 10 and 12 weeks so it is quite possible he will miss the remainder of the season."
Ehmer has made just one substitute appearance for QPR this season, but spent a chunk of the campaign on loan with Carlisle United in League One.
