Rio Ferdinand has said that Queens Park Rangers could have prevented the goals that they conceded in their defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League.
The Hoops lost 2-1 against the 10-man Gunners at the Emirates yesterday, leaving Harry Redknapp's side just two points clear of the relegation zone in 16th.
The defender told the club's website: "Any time you lose a game it's disappointing. We weathered the storm for most of the first half and then conceded a disappointing goal before the break, which meant that the half-time team talk was different to how it would have been.
"In the second they went a man down and it was up to us to take the game to them and break them down. They caught us on the counter-attack with a good goal, but from our point of view the goals were preventable. We were our own worst enemy on both occasions.
"Once we got the goal with Charlie [Austin]'s penalty, from then on there was only one to team looking likely to score. It was just unfortunate that we didn't get the breaks that we felt we deserved in the end. We should have had another penalty, but we just didn't turn the screw as much as we should have."
QPR, who have lost all of their away matches in the league this season, host Crystal Palace tomorrow.
