Queens Park Rangers defender Rio Ferdinand has praised teammate Leroy Fer for his "stand-out" performance during Saturday's 2-2 draw with Stoke City.
Dutch international Fer put in a battling display in midfield as the R's earned a share of the spoils at Loftus Road in the Premier League.
Ferdinand has now called on the rest of the squad to take Fer's lead for the remainder of the season.
"Leroy showed his quality – I thought he was the stand-out player on the pitch," the former England international told QPR's official website.
"He set the standard, especially in the second half – we have to set ourselves such standards now going forward. If we do that, we'll give ourselves a good chance of staying up."
QPR continue their Premier League campaign this Saturday with a trip to high-flying Southampton.
