Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes has expressed his delight at the club finally ending their 16-match winless streak.
A brace from Adel Taarabt brought an end to the worst start in Premier League history as QPR ran out 2-1 winners over Fulham this afternoon.
Fernandes believes that his side thoroughly deserved their win, reserving special praise for Taarabt.
"I am very relieved man. That is the best Christmas present ever. That is all I wanted for Christmas - three points. It was a great performance, it was awesome," Fernandes told PA Sport.
"I think Fulham only had one shot and they scored that goal. It was a great team effort, they deserved it. We've been threatening for a while and what a way to get the winning goal. Adel was awesome, the defence played well and everyone put their heart into it.
"It is looking good and we're undefeated under Harry [Redknapp]. I feel like I have won the championship."
The win lifts QPR off the bottom of the table, although their replacements - Reading - have a game in hand.
