Queens Park Rangers loan signing Mauricio Isla has admitted that he is beginning to reach the fitness levels required to play in the Premier League.
The Chile international defender has made two appearances for the R's this season after joining the club on a year-long deal from Juventus.
Despite claiming that he is still recovering from playing for his country at the World Cup, Isla is pleased with how he performed during Saturday's win over Sunderland.
"I still feel that I have to keep working," he told the club's official website. "I took a holiday after the World Cup and you can see the difference when you compare yourself to the guys who never went to the finals.
"Against Sunderland I felt really good. The game against Tottenham I was very tired and didn't feel as if I prepared properly physically during the summer with Juventus.
"On Saturday though I was much happier as I felt very good physically and that I'm starting to find the level required."
QPR return to Premier League action on September 14 when they travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.
