Queens Park Rangers head coach Chris Ramsey was left disappointed that his side were unable to take their chances against Charlton Athletic.
The Addicks defeated their London rivals 2-0 thanks to two second-half goals, scored by Tony Watt and Morgan Fox.
Speaking to reporters after the match, Ramsey said: "It's disappointing as we started very well. We didn't take the chances we created, which will come back to bite you as time goes on.
"It was difficult to claw back the momentum. Charlton are a very resilient side and I'm sure they were happy that they weathered the storm when they did.
"They had their time and they took their two chances."
The R's will take on Yeovil Town in the League Cup on Tuesday.
