Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has tipped veteran defender Rio Ferdinand for a career in management upon ending his playing career.
The 36-year-old helped Manchester United to six Premier League titles and one Champions League in a trophy-laden 12-year stint at the club, before joining Rangers on a Bosman in July.
"Rio has nothing to prove to anybody his career has been so good," Redknapp is quoted as saying by The Express.
"He is a great person to have around because he's a good professional, a good trainer, and sets a good example to everybody. He is management material one day."
Ferdinand, whose contract at Loftus Road expires in the summer, is eligible for selection in tomorrow's home clash with Leicester City after serving a three-game ban for posting an offensive tweet.
