Queens Park Rangers defender Danny Simpson has admitted that he cannot wait to begin the season with his new club.
The former Newcastle United defender, who joined the R's on a three-year deal this summer, has also insisted that the Championship outfit are physically ready to begin their campaign.
"We've had a good pre-season and the lads have put in a lot of work. Not one person has not put the effort in. It's good to see fellow professionals working hard. Everyone has been pushing each other along. That's how it should be," he told the club's official website.
"The games have been good, as well. We've been getting fitter and stronger. I think the season has come at the right time now - we're ready to kick things off."
QPR face Sheffield Wednesday at Loftus Road this weekend.
