Queens Park Rangers boss Neil Warnock is putting his trust in new signing Joey Barton ahead of the team’s clash with Newcastle tonight (Monday).
The controversial midfielder signed for QPR from Newcastle last month and Warnock is counting on Barton to behave in his debut against his old club, according to The Sun.
"Joey is just Joey. You get what you see with him and I don't expect anything different," Warnock said.
"Joey probably gets fired up for every game, but what am I going to tell him? 'Don't upset anybody?' You just have to trust people."
Warnock has reportedly banned Barton from using Twitter until after the match.
"Lovely day down here today, training down, had a rub, now off home to watch the football and load NRG. Twitter curfew begins till after game," Barton tweeted yesterday.
Barton’s Twitter use landed him in trouble with Newcastle when he used the social networking site to criticise the board.
The incident is believed to be part of the reason why the club allowed the player to leave for QPR last month.
