Queens Park Rangers survived a large amount of pressure to claim a 0-0 draw from their home encounter with Manchester City at Loftus Road this evening.
Visiting City had the better of the first half, but they were unable to turn their domination into goals.
Argentine full-back Pablo Zabaleta went closest before the break, but his headed effort from a David Silva cross rebounded to safety off the crossbar.
Midfielder Gareth Barry also tried his luck from distance as the half drew to a close, but QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar got across his line to palm away the England international's effort.
The champions continued to push forward in search of the opening goal after the restart, but every time they breached the QPR defence, they were unable to get beyond goalkeeper Cesar.
The Brazilian was called into action on numerous occasions, but he pulled off a string of saves - including one from Silva, who saw his powerful low shot from close range turned around the post by the former Inter Milan goalkeeper four minutes from time.
City now trail leaders Manchester United, who face Southampton tomorrow, by four points.
