Tim Sherwood has reportedly been lined up by the Queens Park Rangers board as a potential replacement for manager Harry Redknapp.
It is understood that while Redknapp's job at Loftus Road is not under any immediate threat, owner Tony Fernandes and the club's hierarchy are concerned by the team's form since their return to the Premier League.
However, should it come to a point where it is decided that the time is right for the R's to part with Redknapp, Sherwood is among the leading contenders to succeed the 67-year-old, according to the London Evening Standard.
Sherwood has been out of work since he left Tottenham Hotspur at the end of last season.
