Middlesbrough have reportedly made an enquiry over signing Queens Park Rangers midfielder Luke Freeman.
The 26-year-old joined QPR from Bristol City in January 2017 and has gone on to score seven goals from 61 Championship appearances for the Hoops.
A recent report in the Evening Standard claimed that the R's were willing to part company with Freeman should any club be willing to pay £3m for the former Stevenage man.
However, Sky Sports News has stated that talks between the two clubs over a deal have "ended abruptly".
In addition, a club source is quoted as saying that Freeman will not be allowed to leave Loftus Road for another club during the summer transfer window.
On Friday, QPR posted a video on social media of the squad boarding the team bus ahead of the Championship trip to Preston North End this weekend, with Freeman one of those on board.
