Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes has confirmed that the club will begin fresh discussions with Marseille over the proposed transfer of Joey Barton to the French side.
Reports on Tuesday evening suggested that the move was back on after negotiations had previously broken down, but Hughes has revealed that there is no agreement in place yet.
"There may be some movement in that regard," the QPR boss told Sky Sports News. "I think there is further discussions that will be made, possibly his people and representatives of our club will get over to France and have discussions and see where we go with it.
"But it's not dead yet. I think at one point everyone thought it was. But it has resurfaced so we will investigate to its conclusion."
Barton has reportedly been told that he can leave Loftus Road on a free transfer.
