Former Premier League striker Robbie Keane has insisted that he will not be returning to England on loan in January.
The Republic of Ireland striker, who currently plays for MLS outfit Los Angeles Galaxy, has attracted the attention of struggling Queens Park Rangers.
Aston Villa signed Keane on loan this time last season and have also been linked with the 32-year-old.
However, he has ruled out a second loan return to the Premier League, citing his demanding 2012 schedule and the need to rest before the new US campaign.
He said: "It's been a long season, with the Euros and what have you. I've a few little niggles that need to be sorted out so I don't think at this moment in time it would be right for me to go anywhere.
"I had another year left and they offered me a new contract at the end of last season. I've just signed a new two-year contract."
Keane scored over 100 Premier League goals during his time with Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Leeds United, Coventry City and Villa.
