Sunderland defender Anton Ferdinand is expected to complete a move to QPR this morning (Wednesday) after chairman Tony Fernandes approved the club’s eighth acquisition of the summer.
The former England U21 international is believed to be in advanced talks with the London club for a reported fee of £4.5m.
The 26-year-old is in the final year of his contract at Sunderland and discussions about a new deal have not been put in motion.
Ferdinand moved to the Black Cats from West Ham in 2008 for a fee of £8m.
