Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has admitted that he is interested in signing Troy Deeney.
The Watford striker was the third-top scorer in the Championship last season with 24 goals and is reportedly also wanted by Leicester City and Burnley.
Redknapp has said that his club have been in talks with the Hornets over a transfer, but he is aware that there is plenty of competition for the player.
"He's a player that interests me," Redknapp is quoted as saying by the Daily Star. "The chairman has been talking to Watford but I think there's one or two other clubs bidding as well.
"I think Burnley came and made an offer and Leicester too, so we'll have to wait and see with that one. We need four or five good players to give us a squad who are capable of competing."
Deeney joined Watford in August 2010 from Walsall.
