Queens Park Rangers midfielder Adel Taarabt has revealed that negotiations are underway to make his loan move to AC Milan permanent this summer.
The Morocco international has found himself being deployed on the flanks under Rossoneri boss Clarence Seedorf, a role which the 24-year-old claims to prefer despite building a reputation in English football as an attacking midfielder.
He told Milan's official channel: "With this shirt I played for the first time at San Siro and in the Champions League.
"We are in negotiations so that I can stay here and I hope to stay at Milan, as with this jersey I manage to give 100%.
"In England I played behind the strikers but here at Milan I have a different role and I prefer it."
Taarabt, whose contract at Loftus Road expires in 2016, has struck four goals in 12 Serie A appearances since arriving at San Siro in January.
