Neil Warnock has played down speculation linking Nikica Jelavic with a move to Queens Park Rangers.
Reports had suggested that Warnock was planning to offer £10m for the Glasgow Rangers striker during the January transfer window.
Warnock has admitted that he is aware of the Croatia international but has insisted that there is no firm interest on his part.
"I am aware of him, only because one of my good pals Stuart McCall is at Motherwell, so we keep talking to him about all sorts," he told Sky Sports News. "But I'm not aware of any offer, or of showing any interest in him.
"He's just one of a number of players that's been mentioned to me, not the other way around."
Jelavic, 26, joined Rangers in 2010 from Austrian side Rapid Vienna.
