Neither Annan or Rangers could break the deadlock in the first half of this afternoon's Scottish Third Division game, going in at half-time with the score at 0-0.
Rangers started well at the Galabank, putting the home side under some early pressure.
With six minutes gone, Rangers broke away on the counter attack, although it was soon halted when David Templeton was brought down. The left-sided midfielder was eventually replaced by Fran Sandaza.
Annan began to enjoy some possession and threatened Rangers' goal, but could not find a way through.
On 28 minutes, Macleod played a pass through to McKay who fed Sandaza, but the shot was blocked well by the defence.
The chance spurred the away side on, who began to keep hold of the ball well.
Jig missed a great chance on 33 minutes when Sandaza's persistence allowed him to break down the wing and cross. However, the finish was lacking for Rangers.
Sandaza broke down the left wing on 38 minutes, cutting the ball back to Shiels, who saw his shot blocked again.
Faure smashed a shot from distance on 39 minutes, though the ball was always rising and just went over the bar.
Annan's best chance came on 43 minutes when Steel got in behind the defence. The midfielder hit his shot wide and the half ended goalless.
