Rangers have been unable to break the deadlock against Scottish League One's bottom side Airdrieonians at Ibrox despite having plenty of chances to score.
Nicky Clark had the best opportunity for the hosts when a poor clearance from young keeper Andrew Duncan fell into his path, but the striker hit his shot wide.
Duncan redeemed himself on the half-hour mark when Lee Wallace's long-range effort cannoned into Clark's path inside the box, but the Diamonds' keeper was equal to his effort.
Just before half time, Bilel Moshni was played in by Ian Black only to see his first-time shot drift wide.
However, the league leaders can take heart after enjoying the majority of possession and having 14 shots at goal in the first 45 minutes, as they go in search of a 12th straight league win.
Airdrieonians are looking to end a bad run of results against Rangers, having lost 3-0 last week in the Scottish Cup and thrashed 6-0 at home by Ally McCoist's side earlier in the season.
