Rayo Vallecano boss Paco Jemez has insisted that his side can survive in La Liga this season.
Sunday's 1-0 win over Valencia was the capital outfit's seventh league win of the season and moved them onto 23 points, just three points from 17th-place Almeria with 12 games remaining.
"I'm a person who believes in facts. My team is feeling good. I'm convinced that we'll get out of the bottom, although it'll be difficult, but the feelings my team is currently conveying are positive," he told reporters at a press conference.
"I feel that we'll continue to progress and we'll have to put ourselves in extreme conditions. There are no definitive matches, but everyone is more important than the last.
"Losing today would've made things very complicated. This win gives us great joy, shortens the gap and puts pressure on our rivals above us."
Rayo have lost 17 of their 26 league games this season.
