Rayo Vallecano came from behind to beat Granada 3-1 in La Liga this evening.
A brace from Alberto Bueno and a last-minute Adrian Embarba goal won Rayo the match after Jhon Cordoba had given Granada an early lead.
Granada started the match strongly, with Ruben Rochina, Cordoba and Javi Marquez all having shots blocked in the first three minutes.
Cordoba broke the deadlock in the eighth minute drilling the ball into the net after Rochina's through ball.
Bueno was twice denied by the Granada goalkeeper and Ze Castro missed the target in the 16th minute as Rayo looked to respond.
They continued to push for an equaliser, with Gael Kakuta and Ruben Perez shooting wide of goal.
Ze Castro came close to scoring on the half-hour mark when his header from Roberto Trashorras's corner hit the bar.
Rochina and Allan Nyom had chances to double Granada's lead in the second half, but did not take them and Bueno equalised in the 65th minute, scoring from close range after Manucho's assist.
The Spanish striker gave Rayo the lead 10 minutes later, this time directing the ball into the bottom-left corner from Kakuta's cross, and Embarba added a third in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
The victory moves Vallecano up to 11th in the La Liga table, with Granada staying in the relegation places.
