Rayo Vallecano have recorded a comfortable 3-0 win over Elche in their opening La Liga match this evening.
The hosts lit up an uneventful first half in the final five minutes, taking the lead just before the break when Lass's cross was drilled home by Alberto Bueno.
They doubled this lead four minutes later courtesy of a fine curling Alberto Perea strike from outside the box, giving Rayo a 2-0 advantage going into the break.
Perea had a chance to get his second of the match just after the hour mark when he picked up a Lass pass, but David Lomban got across to deny the Spaniard.
Rayo put the game beyond doubt 15 minutes from time when Bueno fired a low shot into the bottom corner from outside the box for his second of the match.
Elche almost managed a consolation goal late on when Alberto Botia linked up with Coro before curling an effort goalwards, but David Cobeno got across to make a good save.
