Reading manager Nigel Adkins has insisted that he has no intention of allowing top goalscorer Adam Le Fondre to leave the club.
Le Fondre netted a first-half hat-trick on Saturday as the Royals thrashed Bolton Wanderers 7-1 at the Madejski Stadium.
The 27-year-old has now scored 10 goals this season, but he has only started in 11 of Reading's 26 Championship matches, an issue that caused him to complain to Adkins recently.
However, speaking after his side's big win over Bolton, Adkins told reporters that Le Fondre's future at the Berkshire club was in no doubt.
"My stance on Adam has been exactly the same since I joined the club," said Adkins. "He is a great goalscorer and we've got no intention of letting him go anywhere else.
"Whether we are linked to or bring in other forwards is irrelevant. We value Adam very highly and if you want to be successful, you need to have a strong group of strikers.
"The way he has performed today was very important to us."
Le Fondre is under contract at Reading until June 2015.
