Reading boss Brian McDermott is reportedly considering a move for Aarhus defender Adam Eckersley.
The former Manchester United defender, 26, was watched by club scouts in a recent league encounter, according to The Sun, and it is understood that a favourable report was returned.
McDermott has already admitted that he will attempt to bring in "possibly three or more players" as he prepares for next season.
Reading won the Championship title this season.
