Alvaro Cervera's men were narrow winners over Real Madrid Castilla, who remain at the bottom of the table, having lost all seven of their fixtures so far.
Ayoze Perez scored the only goal of the contest at Estadio Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez.
The win sees Tenerife climb above Real Jaen into 20th place.
