Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid have ended the first half tied at 1-1 in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final at the Westfalenstadion.
The hosts took the lead in the eighth minute when Robert Lewandowski pounced inside the area to convert Mario Gotze's free kick.
Lewandowski came close soon after, but his free kick whistled narrowly wide of the post.
Madrid, who struggled during the opening 45 minutes, tested Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller midway through the half as Cristiano Ronaldo's free kick was kept out.
The home side continued to dominate, but the visitors scored a vital away goal two minutes before the break when Ronaldo tapped in from close range after Mats Hummels had gifted the ball to Gonzalo Higuain.
