Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has sprung to the defence of Sergio Ramos after the centre-back was criticised for his performance during the 2-1 loss to Juventus.
The Spain international was savaged on social media following Los Blancos' defeat in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final, but his coach was quick to praise his contribution.
"We did make more mistakes than we usually do, not just Sergio, but at the back we had more trouble because Juve put us under lots of pressure," Sky Sports News quotes the Italian as saying.
"But Sergio did a good job as he has done in the past games.
"We played well in some parts, we played some good, patient football and we have had some chances. We set out to win this game, the result is not good but not bad either."
Gareth Bale also received fierce criticism from fans online in the wake of the match.
