Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has warned Schalke 04 that Cristiano Ronaldo is on the verge of rediscovering his talismanic form ahead of tonight's Champions League clash.
Ronaldo has netted 36 times in all competitions this season but has failed to find the net in any of his last three appearances.
He did grab an assist in Saturday's 2-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna, and Ancelotti says that the 30-year-old just needs a goal to reignite his red-hot form.
"He had a nice performance against Deportivo La Coruna in terms of physical skills. He showed great intensity," Ancelotti told AS ahead of tonight's first-leg second-round encounter in Gelsenkirchen.
"I think he is getting better, he just needs to score a goal and I think he has a great chance to do it [against Schalke]."
Ronaldo has five goals in six Champions League outings this season.
